Allama Iqbal encouraged young people to live like a ‘shaheen’: CM Punjab

  • Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said the people of Punjab salute the greatness of the Pakistani architect.

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said the people of Punjab hail the greatness of Pakistani architect Allama Muhammad Iqbal as he fulfills his duty to guide Muslims.

In his message, the CM said that Allama Iqbal was not only an outstanding poet but also a reformer and a preacher. Allama Iqbal gave Muslims in the subcontinent awareness of freedom through his poetry. Allama Iqbal guided the nation to its destination under the guidance of Quaid-e-Azam and gave an uplifting message to young people through his poetry, the CM added.

He said Allama Iqbal encouraged the youth to live as a ‘shaheen’ while his message of self-reliance is a great boon to the nation. Practicing the philosophy of self-reliance is the best way to express love to Allama Iqbal and Imran Khan conveys the message of self-reliance, he concluded.

The Prime Minister wanted to organize a detailed program to highlight the life, work and philosophy of Dr Mohammad Iqbal, likely to be drawn up for the month of November.
