By Zoila Palma González: The 10 Belizean students participating in the 2022 Youth Ambassador Program returned home today.

The students participated in a 2-week Young Leaders Exchange in the United States.

“These inspiring high school students explored leadership and civic engagement while learning to create their own community service projects. We are happy to see these future young leaders return to Belize with even more confidence and motivation to positively impact their communities,” the U.S. Embassy said.

The Youth Ambassador Program is a U.S. Department of State program that brings together high school students and adult mentors from countries across the Americas to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership skills, and prepare young people to make a difference in their communities. .
