BREAKING: Ayu must quit; Wike & Cohorts Desperados ~ PDP Middle Belt Youth Alliance – 9News Nigeria

In a press release from Comr.Patriot Aboh J.O, Publicity Secretary, PDP Middle Belt Youth Alliance, on Thursday, take a look at Governor Wike and his cronies who lately have been calling for impeachment of the party’s national chairman, Senator Iorchia Ayu.

In what appears to be a quagmire, the forum hit Governor Nyesom Wike calling him and his friends “Desperados”.

The press release reads as follows:

Press Release by PDP Middle Belt Youth Alliance Leadership on Vendetta by Chief Bode George, Governor Nyesome Wike, Executive Governor of Rivers State and others.

The PDP Middle Belt Youth Alliance is a conglomerate of minority ethnic groups in Nigeria who are committed to upholding and defending the quotas of these ethnic nationalities.

The recent frivolous request for the resignation of the National Chairman of the PDP, HE Senator Iorchia Ayu, is not only condemnable but totally unjustified because their accusations and agitations are absolutely baseless, selfish and vindictive.

It is said that he who must come to equity must come with clean hands, a legal maxim which Governor Wike, as a member of the bar, and his cronies must know and practice.

It is unfortunate that Gov Wike’s outrage spoke out after he lost the VP bid knowing full well that the constitution is clear on what to choose in the case of a running mate.

The press conference of Leader Bode George, who should be very familiar with the workings of the party and a major benefactor despite chronicles of the PDP’s consistent failure to win Lagos State since 1999, further encourages us to assert that the Dr. Ayu’s resignation request is a personal vendetta.

The actions of Gov Wikes with his cronies portray them as of late as political desperadoes whose actions are selfish and do not represent the collective interest of the party’s Southern extraction.

As it has always been in their culture to rock the boat when it doesn’t fit their journey; Nwike and his cronies start throwing tantrums at the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party again.

The latest escapade that led to the removal of Hon. Uche Secondus was a buffoonery to pave the way for Governor Wike’s over-the-top aspiration forgetting that Chief Amodu Ali was the National Chairman of the North Central PDP when the late President Musa Yaradua became president-elect and remained national. President until President Yar’adua is elected President.

We wish to remind you that this would have been the priority had it not been for your desperation for power.

In view of the above, we would like to remind you that the National Working Committee (NWC) and the National Executive Committee (NEC) have already taken a position, it is entirely reasonable to align with their position and leave the peace rain.

We make a point of specifying that your request for resignation of the national president is part of these desires which will never find expression.

As party stalwarts, we would like to advise you to refrain from playing an albatross.

We advise you to play the role expected of you as men who have benefited enormously from the party since 1998, because it is better late than never.

We wish to express our disappointment in HE Governor Samuel Ortom, the Executive Governor of Benue State who, rather than protecting the participation of the middle belt in the PDP, took sides against the party leadership just to satisfy his benefactor and Master Gov Wike.

It’s sad that instead of driving the midbelt political renaissance, he ate his midbelt defense vomit on the table of self-glorification.

We wish to affirm our unwavering support for the leadership of the Party under the chairmanship of H.E. Sen Dr. Iorchia Ayu and advise Governor Ortom to retrace his steps stating that he should instead focus on delivering Benue State during the forthcoming elections than to wash away the whole structure of the party in the centre-north.

He needs to take responsibility and focus on delivering the area where he leads the party, rather than indulging more in Gov Wike Shenanigan.

We reaffirm our commitment to the party and all its candidates by wishing us victory.

Long live the People’s Democratic Party

Long live our democracy

God bless Nigeria.
