Coffee County Youth Leadership Returns for 2022 | House

One of the premier youth leadership programs in the Wiregrass area, the Coffee County Youth Leadership Program, will return after being suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For more than 20 years, the mission of the Coffee County Youth Leadership Program has been to prepare high school students who have demonstrated leadership potential to take on active leadership roles in improving their homes, schools and communities.

Eligibility is limited to juniors from all public, private and home schools in Coffee County who are at least 15 years old. Applicants must have a ā€œCā€ average or better, parent/guardian permission, and approval from their principal and/or school representative.

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, August 26 at 3 p.m. Applications may be referred to School Counselors, Career Coaches, Enterprise or Elba Chambers of Commerce or the Coffee County Extension office.

All high school juniors interested in applying to the Coffee County Youth Leadership Program are encouraged to speak with their guidance counselor or career coach and secure an application. Applications can also be picked up from the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, Elba Chamber of Commerce, or Coffee County Extension Office. For more information, contact Coffee County Extension Coordinator Gavin Mauldin at (334) 894-5596.
