KKDAT and New York to Host Youth Leader Peace Summit on December 14

The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), in close partnership with the National Youth Commission (NYC), and other agencies organized the 2021 Regional Youth Leaders for Peace Summit.

The summit will be held from Tuesday December 14 to Wednesday December 15 in Ormoc City.

“The summit aims to bring together officials from Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), youth leaders and KKDAT agents to meet with key stakeholders and national government agencies to collaboratively discuss in diplomatic dialogue, the plan for long-term action “Regio Youth Peace and Order and Public Security Plan (POPS) 2022” aimed at harmonizing efforts for peace and order, particularly in the area of ​​drugs and insurgency, where young people are known to be primary targets and vulnerable victims, ”NYC said in an official notice.

Along with NYC and KKDAT, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), SK, Ormoc Municipal Government, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Department of Home Affairs and Local Governments (DILG) also collaborated on the ‘event.
