JAMMU, 22nd Oct: Union Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary today distributed Appointment Letters to around 50 shortlisted candidates for jobs in various government departments and organizations at the Convention Centre, Jammu. The show took place on the sidelines of the inauguration of “Rozgar Mela” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference.
The candidates who received the appointment letters were recruited from the Department of Posts, Central Reserve Police Force, CISF, Canara Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Grameen Bank and Department of Water Resources and river development.
Saying the country is on its way to becoming a developed nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the minister said the government is working with a long-term vision for the next 25 years instead of five-year plans to ensure that India becomes a developed nation by 2047.
Free gas hookups under Ujjwala, PMAY houses for rural and urban areas, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal and other projects in addition to mission mode infrastructure construction across the country are underway to pick up the pace of development, added the minister.
The minister further said that world-class roads and highways are being built to provide connectivity to reach all corners of the country, which will also strengthen the country’s defense system.
He highlighted the role of today’s youth in achieving the goals set during this period. He called on the youth to work with patriotism and with a sense of nationalism to spearhead India’s progress.
The event was also attended by MP Jugal Kishore; Chief Postmaster (Circle of Jammu and Kashmir) Niraj Kumar; Chief Postmaster General (Jammu Region), Colonel Vinod Kumar and DIG CRPF, Rakesh Sethi.
After the “Rozgar Mela” event, the minister also opened an exhibition illustrating various technologies related to farmer welfare by SKUAST-Jammu, KVK, FPO’s Progressive Farmer Self-Help Groups.
During the inauguration, the minister insisted on the fact that young people should become job providers rather than job seekers, saying that to make the country Atma Nirbhar, farmers should adopt new technologies, agriculture precision, vertical farming to increase their farm income.
The minister also distributed seeds of new wheat variety JAUW 672 by SKUAST-JAMMU to farmers.
