People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Mehbooba Mufti denounced the LG administration and said the government wanted to give young people a bottle of alcohol instead of a job. Opening liquor stores will not be allowed in Kashmir, voices will be raised against it and it will not be allowed in Kashmir, Mufti said.
Mufti accused the government of deliberately disturbing the youths and said the government had not provided them with employment. She said people should come together and firmly fight against it.
In response to a question regarding the dismissal of the police, Mehbooba Mufti said that no action is taken against those who are involved in real corruption, but they have drawn the sword on the petty employees.
Mufti further said that horticulture is being destroyed as part of a conspiracy and called on people to fight it. Efforts are being made to destroy horticulture in Kashmir, she said, adding that vehicles loaded with apples are stopped on the Islay trunk road for unknown reasons.
She also offered her condolences on the death of PDP leader Ghulam Nabi Pandit Puri’s father-in-law in Langat Handwara today along with other party leaders.
