Young APC leaders petition DSS, IGP and others against acclaimed faction leader – Blueprint Newspapers Limited


Following recent activities by the acclaimed ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) faction group, recognized young leaders from across the federation met and called on security agencies to invite the group’s acclaimed leader, Prince Mustapha Audu for questioning.

At a press conference on Monday, some supporters of the APC, under the aegis of the Progressive Youth Movement, announced the dismissal of the emerging, claiming to have sacked Governor Mai Mala Buni, the Caretaker / Extraordinary Committee planning of the national convention.

But some APC youth leaders disassociated themselves through a statement read to reporters after their closed-door meeting at the APC national secretariat on Friday in Abuja.

Upon reading the statement, a youth leader from the North Central, Terver Aginde, also called on all state youth leaders to take note of all activities of youth support groups in their respective states and in particular said group.

The statement said: “That the youth leadership of the party will sign a petition to the DSS, IGP and AGF to bring these impostors who try to undermine the public peace, because the youth of the APC do not will tolerate no further attacks by certain troublemakers on the President and the party leadership.

“That all security agencies take note of any further attempts by this group to attack the APC or any of them.”

“Whether we regard any attack on CECPC as an attack on the President and Supreme Court of Nigeria, the youth leadership will therefore not entertain any further wrongdoing from anywhere. “

The young leaders of the APC observed that “The All Progressives Congress is the ruling party of Nigeria, it is duly registered as a political party by the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) as required by law. Therefore, all party operations must be guided by the constitutional provisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the electoral law and the party constitution.

“That His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, by all laws and conventions in Nigeria, is the undisputed leader of our Party and its National Executive Committee (NEC) and is not only entitled to, but must be granted, all the compliments of his person and various offices at the same time.

“That the CPA Extraordinary Convention Interim and Planning Committee (CECPC) established by the NEC under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State as Chairman is appropriate and legal in all ramifications

“That the so-called Progressive Youth Movement led by Mustapha Audu has no constitutional right to chair, speak or represent one or more overtures of the party wing. “
