Youth Sammelan Detained at SRMA – Latest Jammu and Kashmir News | Tourism

ANANTNAG, April 12: To imbibe the spirit of nationalism and propagate the teachings of Sanatan Dharma for the benefit of humanity at large, Shri Ramakrishna Mahasamelan Ashram, (SRMA) Nagdandi, Anantnag has organized a young Sammelan (meeting ) to Sanatan Samiksha Bhawan in the Ashram.
A large number of young people from different parts of the valley and Jammu, especially from Vessu camps, groups from Mattan and other areas of the valley, participated in the Sammelan and organized a religious procession in the region highlighting light the teachings of Rama Krishna Paramhansa, Maa Sharda and Swami Vivekananda the revolutionary saint of India.
Manas Bhattachryajee, Uttar Prant Sanghathak and Kishore Tokerje, Joint Secretary General, Vivekanda Rock Memorial and Vivekanda Kendra Kanya Kumari participated in the program and reviewed the activities of SRMA. They also addressed the meeting of young people with the chairman of the administrative committee of BL Bhat. Vivestha Parmukh, Bharat Bushan Raina proposed the vote of thanks.
Previously, Ramnavmi and Durga Ashtami festivals were also held at the Ashram with complete religious fervor and cheerfulness. A Maha Yagya was organized on April 9 and 10 which was followed by Prasad to the devotees. Prominent figures from UT, including those from the administration, security and defense services as well as the majority community, social activists, Panchs and Sarpanches participated in the program.
